Crimson Moon Co-op Status — Crossplay Not Confirmed

Crimson Moon ships with official 2-player online co-op. We have not found evidence of crossplay across platforms anywhere we've checked — this page does not claim it exists.

What's Confirmed

What the launch announcement says

"Fight solo or with a friend to annihilate demons and challenge brutal bosses in relentless melee combat."— Steam short description, appid 4317690, retrieved 2026-09-02

Steam's own store categories list Multi-player, Co-op, Online Co-op for this game. That's 2 players, not a party of 3-4 — we have not found any official statement suggesting more than two.

The One Thing We Cannot Confirm

Crossplay: not confirmed

Crimson Moon is available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but nothing in the official Steam announcements, the store page, or the game's categories states whether co-op works across those platforms. We are not going to guess. If that changes, this line — and this page's title — will be the first thing we update.

What Players Report

Co-op friction in our review sample

4 of 20 reviews in our frozen negative-review sample mention co-op friction — a mix of disconnects and complaints about how loot/progress is shared between the host and a joining player. Disconnects read as an implementation issue; shared-loot design is a game-design choice, not obviously a bug. Neither has an official response we could find.
